Richmond Hill Self Storage: Back to School Expo Recap
We Showed Up for Richmond Hill Families at the Back to School Expo
The Stop N Stor self storage booth at the Bryan County Back to School Expo in Richmond Hill
On Tuesday, July 21st, from 4 to 7pm, Stop N Stor set up shop at the Bryan County Chamber of Commerce's Back to School Expo at Richmond Hill City Center (520 Cedar Street, Richmond Hill, GA) — and what a great afternoon it was.
The Expo brings together local businesses, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and Bryan County families for one goal: getting kids and parents ready for a great school year. Between the vendor booths, the giveaways, and a steady stream of families stopping by, it's clear this community shows up for its schools.
A packed house of Bryan County families at the Expo
We loved being part of it. Our booth gave us the chance to meet Richmond Hill neighbors face to face and talk about what's new in the area — including our newest location just down the road on Pioneer Way, which opened this past March.
Every family who stopped by our booth walked away with a Stop N Stor pencil pouch, and one lucky winner walked away with a lot more: a backpack, courtesy of our spin-to-win wheel.

Back to school means a space crunch, too.
Everyone talks about backpacks and school supply lists this time of year, but there's a quieter version of “back to school” that hits just as hard: the stuff that needs somewhere to go once summer is over. That's usually when a self storage unit earns its keep.
- Teachers rotating classroom decorations, bulletin board sets, and bins of supplies between school years
- Parents boxing up last year's artwork, workbooks, and keepsakes instead of letting them take over a closet
- Swapping out summer gear for fall sports equipment, band instruments, and cooler-weather clothes
- Households that stocked up on supplies in bulk and just need a dry, secure storage space to keep the overflow
Two Richmond Hill storage locations, right where you need them
If any of that sounds familiar, we're close by. Stop N Stor has two self storage locations in Richmond Hill, and between them we cover both sides of town.
Pioneer Way (253 Pioneer Way) is our newest storage facility in Richmond Hill — brand new construction that opened in March 2026. It's an all climate-controlled facility, built as a single story with numerous exterior access points, so you can pull right up to your own unit instead of hauling boxes down a long interior hallway. Look for us in the same shopping center as Zaxby's and Starbucks, just off I-95 — an easy landmark if you've never been by before.
Veterans Memorial Pkwy (96 Veterans Memorial Pkwy) sits right on Veterans Memorial Parkway, off Hwy 144 at the roundabout at Capt. Matthew Freeman Dr — near the Bryan County Tax Commissioner's office and the Shell station. This storage facility offers both climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled units, plus something Pioneer Way doesn't: a full lineup of covered and enclosed parking spaces for RVs, boats, cars, and anything else that doesn't fit in the garage.
Between the two locations, sizes range from small lockers big enough for keepsake boxes up to 10'×30' storage units for bigger seasonal swaps — plus vehicle parking at Veterans Memorial Pkwy for anyone who needs it.
A few storage questions we heard at the Expo
Do you have climate-controlled storage in Richmond Hill? Yes — both locations offer climate control. Pioneer Way is climate-controlled throughout; Veterans Memorial Pkwy offers a mix of climate-controlled and non-climate-controlled units depending on what you're storing. If you are wondering what belongs in climate control, check out this Stop N Stor storage type.
What size storage unit do I need for classroom supplies or seasonal gear? A 5'×5' is about the size of a standard closet — an affordable place to start for boxes of classroom decorations, keepsakes, or off-season clothes. A 5'×10' is closer to a walk-in closet if you need a little more room. If you're storing bulkier gear like bikes, kayaks, or sports equipment, a 10'×10' or bigger gives you room for a little bit of everything. Stop by either location and our team will help you size it right. Are you a visual learner? Click here to see our size guide videos.
Do you have RV or boat storage near Richmond Hill? Yes — at our Veterans Memorial Pkwy location. We offer covered, enclosed parking for RVs, boats, cars, and other vehicles that need more space than a standard driveway.
